Louie's New Home!

Well, we found Louie a new home and we couldn't be happier. Having him in Pasco County was a bit unsettling for us rural folk, so we decided to foster him from our home. Unfortunately, all the "Meet and Greet" opportunities are in Pasco County and that's where we went last Sunday to show him. We expected that any home we would find for him would be down that way. As it would happen, A family from Citrus County stopped at the shopping center in Wesley Chapel on their way home from a vacation in Sanibel. They were taken with Louie and submitted their application that night. Later we were sent the information to do a house visit and accomplished that on Monday. I had all the Labs with me as they all LOVE to ride in the car. They were really interested in Louie and I took him out to greet them. It seemed to be a match made in heaven. Tuesday afternoon, Helen and I drove Louie to his new home. They were waiting for him, and they even had the grandparents there to see the new addition to their family.
This is what Louie has moved to, a 10 acre ranch with horses, goats, and Bella, the mini Doberman. There's even a three week old filly. Louie and the family got along great and I'm sure this will be a great place for him. When it was time for us to leave, Helen was a bit teary eyed and I felt like I was losing a great friend. The Cobbs are getting a super dog.
